Themes & Activities
Around every 6 weeks I have a new theme for the children to focus on. For example the most recent theme is Dinosaurs. There are some photographs of the current theme towards the bottom of the page. Click here to view them. Alternatively to view past themes click here
All those who access my setting are involved in choosing the themes.
The children have input into the types of activities that we will cover and
are involved as far as possible in the planning of the activities, e.g. which activities to do on what day and gathering of resources for the theme etc.
All of the activities are linked into the areas of development
The activities are age appropriate to the children. Support is given as and when required. The children are given choices within their activities e.g. choice of work sheets, book to read or outing.
The children are actively encouraged to take part in these activities, however, no child will be made to take part as this would be counter production and could affect a child's willingness to learn.
